It's the final countdown...
We've arrived at a a meeting point with our final child, the quietest member of the group; she doesn't say much, but when she does it is always pertinent.
This is Ella.
The last member of the Gang of Six is nine-year-old Ella Johnston, a pupil in the same class as Freya, and they are as close as two girls could ever be. Ella lives with her mum, Cissie Johnston. She has no father. Ella is the quiet one in the group, and with her beautiful toffee coloured skin and dark eyes and hair she is outstandingly pretty, a perfect foil for her fair-haired friend.
Ella is a thinker, and occasionally tries to inject a note of caution into their activities, usually successfully.
And that is the end of the list of children who form six parts of the main character. But after the long summer break, will all six still be alive…?

Tomorrow is launch day, an unsettling day for any author. I look forward with a degree of trepidation to reviews, but so far feedback from readers who had ARCs has been excellent.
I hope you enjoy this book; I loved writing it, at no point did it falter and become a chore to be hurdled over, and I really hope that is reflected in my words.
Happy reading!
