Launch Pad Activated...

And boom! Captor is launched.

It's such a good feeling seeing another 'baby' go out into the world, and this baby has gone out with a real whoosh. Thank you so much to everybody who has placed pre-orders, and to everybody who has been buying steadily throughout the day.

It is 3.35pm, and the current stats are:

225 in the overall charts

3 in kidnapping genre

20 in serial killers genre

24 in psychological genre

There is also a hot new releases section in the different genres on Amazon:

2 in kidnapping

6 in serial killers

9 in psychological

This is superb for a first day, because it is also doing extremely well in the US.

I have 16 reviews already on the UK site, so a massive thank you to bloggers and readers alike who have helped make today so special.

So what have I done to make today extra special? We've been to Damons for lunch, and tormented Dom and Cerys, (our grandchildren), about it, because they love going there.

We returned from there after calling to pay our newspaper bill, slammed the heating on because it's a freezing Sheffield day, and I promptly fell asleep halfway through my favourite tv programme, Countdown. We authors rock.

I'm now sitting doing many many thank yous to everyone who has helped promote the book, but mostly I need to thank Fred and Betsy at Bloodhound Books for their continued and invaluable support. It's not only authors who rock, it's publishers too.

It's been a really special day. My next book, Game Players, is due out 18 May 2018, but today is all about

Liz Chambers is a devoted mother who works for a successful law firm. She has two children, a husband and a blossoming career. But behind closed doors, Liz is harbouring a secret that could destroy her life.

Then the unthinkable happens, and in a frenzied attack, her young son is snatched from the home of the childminder charged with looking after him.

As Liz’s life unfolds, it becomes clear that someone is out for revenge.

Desperate to get her baby boy back, Liz must work out who is responsible for his kidnap, and why.

But as the body count begins to mount, Liz’s concern grows for the safety of her child.

Who has taken her baby?

And why is Captor so determined on revenge?

And just one review to tease you, by a wonderful blogger, Misfits Farm

13 February 2018

Format: Kindle Edition

Anita has a talent, a wonderful talent with words. From the very first chapter you are drawn in to the main character and although in a way little happens in that chapter-it is a scene setting scenario- you know enough that you want to know more. Liz has had an affair whilst her husband was away with work for a few weeks. The result is Jake, her baby. She is only occasionally in touch with Phil as she finished the affair as soon as her husband was back home. It now appears that Phil has left his wife and neither of them have heard from him. When Jake, her son by Phil is taken, this is only the start of her nightmares. Please don’t see this as “just another snatched child” tale, it is so much, much more than that. A tale of feelings and memories, of heartache and woe. I thought I knew who Captor was…. and was right however this doesn't spoil the rest of the book one bit. Anita has struck gold again in my eyes (I have never read anything than excellent books from her). If you like a book to grip you, throw you around a little and one where you “have” to keep turning the pages then this book is for you.
