The morphing of Winterscroft
And so Winterscroft is born. My baby had a name change; initially she was Essence of Lavender (for 25 years!) but now she has morphed effortlessly into Winterscroft.
She will appear in the world on 24 February 2017 and you will never look at a church graveyard in quite the same way again.
This book is a love story in some ways; however, the love part goes quite disastrously awry as Lavender Paulson's fiance finds a new love. But Lavender Paulson is dead, isn't she? Isn't she?
Life has moved on apace since my last post; Dave is much better following his triple heart bypass and today is his 72nd birthday, something none of us thought we would see. That thought really is unthinkable.
We have acquired a new baby, our first born great grandchild, so welcome Lily Grace, and many congratulations to grandparents Matt and Richelle, and parents Katie and Chris.
And what next in my brave new literary world? I have now signed a contract with Bloodhound Books for my next two books, and the first of those books is well under way. It is a sequel to 34 Days, because I made the mistake of leaving the antagonist alive... The title, although known to me, will remain a secret until I am ready to reveal it. That's just in case I change my mind!
However, the book to follow that one is running madly around my head and I keep making little notes and sticking them in a file, in case I forget any details. Life would be much simpler if I could discipline myself to one book at a time.
34 Days did amazingly well, reaching as high as number 26 in Amazon's top 100 paid chart. This is an awesome figure, and so far it has sold well over 15,000 copies. It is currently doing even better in the US than it is here! Whoop whoop, thank you America! Just get rid of your President and I'll truly be happy.
More soon, thank you for reading and for buying my books.
