A lavender fragranced day
I have been working on assorted things for the past ten days or so and Essence of Lavender has been on a back burner. Yesterday I sat down and wrote 2058 words and gave myself a pat on the back. Today I have taken my total word count to 20,004, meaning I have written 2363 words today!
I have toyed with the idea of changing the title to simply 'Lavender', but it's not about Lavender, it's about the essence of Lavender, so the title will stay as it has always been for the past twenty odd years. Decision made.
It's a scary book to write. When I'm really in the space and the words are pouring out of me and on to the screen it can be quite unnerving. I can cope with horror, with torture, with murder; the supernatural kills me.
I actually made a plan for this book because I could almost remember the story line; I figured it was a good idea to write down THE PLAN. By chapter two I was completely off THE PLAN and it's now abandoned and the plot, as is normal with my books, is going wherever it wants.
So, I feel that this book could be longer than my others, but time will tell on that. It's certainly different.
